Producing a great-sounding recording of a great performance is our top goal at Studio Anatomy. In order to acheive that goal, we must provide a relaxed, comfortable and creative atmosphere for the artist to develop their work and perform at their best. We believe we have the perfect environment for capturing musical magic. Clients can expect a high level of professionalism and skill throughout the recording process which guarantees a smooth workflow. We can also offer assistance and solutions to any obstacles that may come along, such as getting the best sound from your instruments and amplification and deciding on the best arrangment for a song.
When first stepping into the control room at Studio Anatomy, you quickly see that we provide a lot of awesome tools that help you get the sound you're looking for. We have a great selection of outboard analog gear including classic mixing consoles, vintage-style compressors, class A mic preamps, 1/4" and 2" multitrack tape machines and various effects units. We also have a superb selection of microphones which can be utilized for specific instrument applications with varying tonal characteristics and polar patterns. For ITB (in the box) audio production, our go-to DAW is Cubase v8.5, which we use in conjuction with a collection of plug-ins that allow us to shape and polish your music within the digital domain. Our top notch A/D converters insure that the audio flowing into our computer stays true to the source. For those who prefer the sweet fatness of analog tape, we can also track your session to our 24 track 2" tape machine. There's nothing that gives you that natural tape compression better than the real thing. How can you resist? I know I can't.
We charge per session block, which is up to 5 hours in length, and the price includes mixing the session as well. Our affordable rates allow the musician to focus on his or her music and less on the clock. It's sad to hear of some recording studios sitting on projects, taking weeks and sometimes months to get the finished product back into the client's hands. We understand the eagerness of our clients to hear what they have created and we want to make sure that the job is done right and done in a timely manner. Another benefit of recording with us, is the understanding that you'll be working with a knowledgeable staff who are also experienced musicians and are willing to help with producing and the arrangment of your music. We also have a network of talented session musicians who are available to hire for your project as well.
Want to put together a live show and have us record it? You've come to the right place. The sound system in our venue is directly patched into our control room and we have the ability to record a multitrack session of your performance. Sell tickets for the show and have your audience essentually pay for the live recording. With a professional recording studio conveniently located in the next room over from the performance venue, we offer artists an option that most studios cannot provide.
Once the recording process is complete, we can assist musicians with album artwork, photography, electronic press kits, personalized websites, CD/Vinyl manufacturing and online music distribution. As a bonus for all clients who record with us, they're are given the option to sell their music directly from our website. There's no payment required to get their music up on the site. We just charge a very small fee per song/album downloaded to cover payment processing.
